Central Branch Primary School stands as a beacon of educational excellence in the heart of Kingston, Jamaica. Founded in 1902 and guided by our enduring motto "The Utmost to the Highest," our school has been nurturing young minds for over a century. Located at 27B Slipe Pen Road, we serve the vibrant communities of Western Kingston and South St Andrew, continuing our proud tradition of academic achievement and character development.
Our rich heritage spans from our origins as the Convotorium on Church Street, under the guardianship of Kingston Parish Church, to our current home near the historic Ward Theatre. Throughout our journey, we have maintained strong community connections while adapting to meet the evolving needs of our students and families.
Under the dedicated leadership of Principal Michael Sutherland and our committed board of directors chaired by Rev. Louis Hurst, Central Branch Primary continues to uphold the highest standards of primary education. We are proud of our distinguished alumni, including Sir Florizel Glasspole, Jamaica's longest-serving Governor General, and many other notable figures who have made their mark locally and internationally.
Today, Central Branch Primary remains committed to providing quality education that prepares our students for success in secondary school and beyond, while instilling the values of respect, integrity, and excellence that have defined our institution for generations.
